Ingredients

  • Bakwan
  • Egg

  • 100g Captain Oats Quick Cook Oatmeal

  • 200ml broth

  • 150g vegetables (50g carrots, 50g corn, 50g broccoli)

  • 100g shredded chicken

  • 1/4 clove onion

  • 2 cloves garlic (cut into pieces)

  • ½ - 2 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • Spicy Sweet and Sour Sauce
  • 2 pieces cayenne pepper

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 150ml water

  • 2 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 2 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 clove garlic

  • Salt

Methods

  • Bakwan
  • Mixture I: Mix egg, broth, and Captain Oats Quick Cook Oatmeal thoroughly and till it thickens, set aside.

  • Mixture II: In a different bowl, mix vegetables, shredded chicken, salt and pepper.

  • Mix the two mixtures after mixture I look thicken.

  • Heat oil on pan.

  • Put mixture into a pan around 2 tbsp per portion.

  • Use a cake cutter if you want a perfect round shape like patty.

  • Serve while warm with sauce.

  • Spicy Sweet and Sour Sauce
  • Chopped cayenne pepper and garlic.

  • Put cornstarch, sugar, water, vinegar, tomato paste, garlic, and salt to the pot then mix.

  • Heat in the low temperature and keep stirred until boiled.

  • When boiled add chilli and stir until it thickens.
